Huawei's sub-brand Honor is set to launch Honor 8C smartphone in India in the coming week that will have 4000mAh battery and 6.26-inch Notch Full View Display, industry sources told IANS. Packed with Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, the mid-price segment device is expected to come in two memory variants - 4GB RAM+64GB and 6GB RAM+64GB. Earlier this month, Huawei launched "Honor 10 Lite" with a 6.21-inch display with a resolution of 1080px2340p -- powered by 2.2GHz Octa-Core and 4GB RAM for Rs 21,990. The Honor 8C was the first smartphone to launch with Snapdragon 632 SoC and it was made available in China last month. And it could be the first device in India to ship with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset.

Honor 8C: Specifications and Features

The Honor 8C is a smaller version of the Honor 8X smartphone and it sports identical design, albeit some changes. The 8C is constructed out of the metal, while the 8X has a glass back. The handset rocks a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display on the front, but sadly, it carries a resolution of 720x1520 pixels. Under the hood, it has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset, clubbed with 4GB, 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone is said to arrive in 4GB+64GB and 6GB+64GB storage options. There's a dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 256GB.

Optics on the Honor 8C include a 13MP primary sensor on the rear which works in tandem with a 2MP secondary depth sensor. This setup will differ a lot compared to the Honor 8X. On the front, the phone has an 8MP shooter. It will run Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMUI 8.1 out of the box. There's a 4000mAh battery backing the smartphone.

Honor 8C: Expected Pricing in India

Honor is generally aggressive in the Indian market. The latest launches from the brand- the Honor 8X and the Honor Play are the clear examples for the same. If Honor manages to keep the price of the Honor 8C below Rs 10,000, it will bring a lot of attention to the brand itself. The Honor 7C was launched in India for Rs 9,999 and Rs 11,999 respectively, but it featured the Snapdragon 450 SoC. The Honor 8C, on the other hand, has the powerful Snapdragon 632 SoC. It will be interesting to see how Honor prices the 8C in India.

Honor Enjoying Tremendous Success in India

The Chinese company has recently claimed to have sold over one million units of Honor products during the Diwali festive period, with "Honor 9N" and "Honor 8X" being the most popular products on Flipkart's Big Billion Days and Amazon India respectively on the first selling day.

The brand sold over six million units of the recently launched "Honor 8X" globally, becoming the top "Singles Day" performer in terms of sales volume and revenue under the smartphone category.
