Honor 10 Lite With Dewdrop Notch and Kirin 710 SoC to Debut in India This Month

Honor, which is riding high on the success of Honor 8X and Honor 8C smartphones is all set to bring a new handset to the Indian market this month. Huawei’s sub-brand Honor is set to launch Honor 10 Lite with a 24MP selfie camera, its home-grown Kirin 710 processor and a dewdrop notch display in India in mid-January, industry sources told IANS on Friday. The Honor 10 Lite was launched in China back at the end of November, and it will be the first time, the smartphone maker is ditching wide-notch design in favour of a dewdrop-style notch, which would render over 91% screen-to-body ratio to the device. The Honor 10 Lite will come as a downgraded version of the Honor 10 which was the company’s last flagship handset to launch in India.

Honor 10 Lite: Specifications and Features

The upcoming smartphone would feature Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered features and an updated EMUI 9.0 Operating System (OS). It could be Honor’s first smartphone to boot Android 9 Pie out of the box in India. The smartphone would be equipped with scene detection technology with AI on both rear and front cameras. Having said that, the Honor 10 Lite is the successor to Honor 9 Lite that was launched in India back in May 2018.

The Honor 9 Lite was a huge success for the brand as it was the first Honor smartphone to cross one million sales in India. Honor achieved the feat because the 9 Lite was the first quad-camera smartphone to launch under Rs 15,000. Also, the phone featured a unique design which competitors failed to achieve in the price range.
