Gionee S5.1 Pro announced with 5-inch screen and 13MP primary camera

Gionee has unveiled another smartphone in its S series range of smartphones in China, named S5.1 Pro. The phone comes with a 5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and is powered by a 1.5 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. Basically, it looks like an enhanced version of Gionee's Elife S5.1.

The device runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with Gionee’s in-house Amigo UI 3.1 on top. It sports 13-megapixel primary camera with LED flash along with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The phone has Hybrid Dual SIM slots, which means that the second slot can either be used for SIM card or microSD card. There is 16GB of expandable internal storage onboard, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on both the front and rear of the device. The S5.1 Pro is backed by a 2,400 mAh battery, and In terms of connectivity, it supports 4G LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and USB OTG.

As of now, Gionee has announced it in China in Gold and White color options. The company has not revealed the pricing and availability details yet, but it is expected to cost around $300 (approx. Rs. 19,845). There is no information regarding its launch outside China, but we expect Gionee to bring it to India soon.
