It's a unique smartphone we have seen in recent times and glad that it made its way to India. To recall, Samsung postponed the launch of Galaxy Fold by at least four-five months due to some issues, but very recently, it went on for sale in some Western markets for a whopping $1,980.

Samsung Galaxy Fold: Specifications and Features

The Galaxy Fold is the first foldable smartphone to commercially launch in India. The Galaxy Fold has two screens- a flat-screen present on the front and a secondary screen that will be visible when the phone is folded. As for the displays, there's a 4.6-inch Super AMOLED screen carrying a resolution of 840x1960 pixels and 21:9 aspect ratio. The smaller display is visible when the phone is folded, and when unfolded, there's a massive 7.3-inch Infinity Flex Dynamic AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1536x2152 pixels. There's a hinge that keeps both the screens intact.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Fold has the company's own Exynos 9825 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. There's no microSD card slot for storage expansion. In India, the Galaxy Fold has dual-SIM support. Samsung is still not planning launch Snapdragon variants of its flagship smartphones in India, which is disappointing.
