You read it first on TelecomTalk folks. Nokia XL has got itself a price tag for the Indian market and the price is Rs 11,049. The smartphone has been listed on TheMobileStore.in and the website is claiming to ship it in 3-6 days and has listed it as in stock. Let us take a look at its specifications:

Nokia has just launched the Lumia 630 for Rs 10,500/11,500 and now the Nokia XL. The device looks somewhat overpriced at this price point and the budget quad core Android smartphones make a lot more sense at this price point. Nokia seems to have gone wrong with the pricing this time around.

I agree with fellow comments below about the chipset being old, less RAM for memory management .

Nokia is leading in Here Maps mapping which doesn’t need any 3G / GPRS / Wifi connectivity aka pure offline navigation

Build quality is better than Authentic Chinese brands

Not everyone needs tons of Apps — 80% of Android apps can be accessed via third party store

Nokia did get the pricing wrong, but I wouldn’t be suprised if pricing drops by a few hundred bucks
