Excitel Broadband Private Limited (Excitel hereafter), the third largest non-telco ISP in Delhi earlier today announced that it is expanding its business to Hyderabad and also announced the launch of its 100Mbps plan that costs below Rs. 1000. It is the first Internet Service Provider in the country, who will be offering 100Mbps speed below Rs. 1000 price bracket.

Excitel, for now, has just three broadband plans with the latest one being the 100Mbps plan in Delhi, but has garnered popularity over the course of time and now has an excess of 1.2 lakh subscribers under its belt. Launched back in 2015, Excitel has seen massive success in the country’s capital city and riding on the success, they are now expanding to Hyderabad.

The company has announced similar plans for both the cities. Currently, there are three plans available - Reeltime 695, Reeltime 845, Reeltime 995, under which Excitel is offering 50Mbps, 75Mbps, and 100Mbps download speeds respectively. The icing on the cake, however, is the no monthly FUP. Yes, all the three plans of Excitel come with no FUP limitation.

All the three plans will also be made available for the residents of Hyderabad, however, as a part of introductory offer the company is offering Rs. 200 discount on all the plans for customers who join between May 1 and July 31. So, the 50Mbps plan costs Rs. 495, the 75Mbps plan costs Rs. 645, whereas the 100Mbps plan costs Rs. 795 per month in Hyderabad.

Excitel also promises no speed drops at all. It’s interesting to see how Excitel goes against the ACT Fibernet who is currently serving 65 percent of users in Hyderabad. The road is not easy for the company, but certainly, the plans are impressive.

“We fully commit ourselves to the vision of transforming India into a digitally empowered society and the knowledge economy, known as Digital India,” said Mr. Vivek Raina, CEO of Excitel. “The speed is the undisputed key feature of a modern broadband offering, but we truly believe it shall come without the attached strings like high prices and data caps which trigger drastic speed decrease, these issues usually keep the common man out of the digital highway. -. Our ultimate goal at Excitel is to provide very high speeds at affordable rates without any ill-motivated data limits.“ Mr. Raina added.
