Eastlink has partnered with Nokia to enhance its 5G network across Canada. This partnership will see Eastlink modernizing its mobile network using Nokia's AirScale portfolio, including 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) technology, to deliver lightning-fast speeds, unparalleled performance, and expanded network capacity.

Modernizing Mobile Infrastructure
According to the official release, Eastlink will use Nokia's energy-efficient AirScale solutions, including baseband, remote radio heads, and massive MIMO antennas, to enhance its Mobile Networks. These technologies will offer 5G capacity and coverage while ensuring seamless deployment and operation, thanks to the advanced ReefShark System-on-Chip (SoC) technology that drives them.
Eastlink delivers communication services, including high-speed internet, mobile, TV, phone, data, security, and 5G smart home solutions. It serves a diverse customer base, catering to residential, business, and public sector clients across seven provinces in Canada and Bermuda.

Enhancing Network Capabilities
This collaboration includes expanding new sites and enhancing existing sites, with the first site expected to go live in August. This allows Eastlink to elevate its network capabilities, thereby allowing customers to harness the full potential of 5G connectivity.

As per the official release, since its launch in 2013, Eastlink has invested a sum of half a billion dollars (USD 500 million) to expand its mobile services nationwide, with the most recent expansions taking place in New Brunswick and the Acadian Peninsula.
With the deployment of advanced technologies, Eastlink is set to reshape the digital landscape, offering Canadians seamless connectivity.
