When it comes to DTH services, there are a couple of companies which reign the DTH industry. First is, of course, the newly crowned, Tata Sky, and the second is DishTV. Now, for long, DishTV has been the industry leader when it comes to DTH, by boasting of the maximum number of DTH subscribers in the country. With all these subscribers and such a massive customer base, DishTV definitely has to stay at the top of its game to make sure that these customers are satisfied. One of the ways, the companies, make sure of it these days is via a self-care application. The self-care application avails some of the most used features and answers the frequently happening queries of the subscribers. Similarly, DishTV also comes with a self-care application, and it also offers a different Watcho app as well. Here is why we recommend that DishTV subscribers should get both Watcho and the My DishTV app.

My DishTV Self Care App

As you might have figured by now, the self-help application by DishTV is available as the My DishTV app and using this app, the subscribers of the DTH service would first be able to recharge their account. It is possible to run out of recharge on your DTH account, at any given time and using this app, the customers can quickly recharge their DishTV account with a single tap with various payment options available at their disposal. Apart from recharges, the subscribers would also be able to manage their account, which simply means that they can add or remove channels to their channel packs or switch up their subscription entirely. After the new Trai tariff regime, this is one of the features which the subscribers appreciate having within their hands reach as they might feel the need to add or remove channels quickly when they want to watch something special, or they simply want to regulate their spend.

Some of the other features of the My DishTV app include channel guide which tells the subscribers when their favourite programme is being aired and also by selecting the programmes of their choice, they can decide to set reminders for it. There is also a new ADI chatbot which will help the subscribers in solving their queries and troubleshooting problems. Lastly, the DishTV app can also be used as an infrared remote to control your Set-Top Box. So, in case the remote is outside your hand’s reach, then you can quickly use your phone to change the channels, or turn up the volume on your Set-Top Box.

Watcho App for Consuming Video Content

While the My DishTV app offers features which are essential for maintaining your DTH connection like payments, keeping a check on your account and other related things, it does not offer a way actually to delve into content and entertainment or channels. To bridge that gap, DishTV has introduced the Watcho app for its subscribers. Using the Watcho app, the DishTV subscribers will be able to access over 1000+ hours of content on their phones. Not only this, but the Watcho app will also offer Live TV content to the subscribers as well. This means that the subscribers can use the My DishTV app to take care of their Dish TV subscription, whereas, use the Watcho app to consume video content and Live TV, thus striking a balance.
