One of the topmost DTH operators in the country happens to be Dish TV. In fact, before Tata Sky took the top position in the industry, Dish TV was the operator which had the most subscriber market share in the country and was the leading DTH company. Now, although the DTH operator has slipped in position in the ranking, it is still not giving up its efforts to lure the subscribers. As such, Dish TV is rolling out new attractive offers which would attract the customers to get more subscriptions. Now under this move, the DTH operator has already launched a Hybrid Set-Top Box to lure subscribers who would like to watch OTT content along with their DTH connection. But, there is another offer which will interest the consumers who are looking to take a new DTH connection or want to move from their old DTH operator to a new one. Dish TV Offer With Older Prices Explained

The Zabardast offer by Dish TV is basically offering reduced prices to the subscribers for their DTH connection. Dish TV has noted that the subscribers will enjoy older prices for their connections. By older prices, Dish TV entails that the subscribers can enjoy the channels at the same costs which they used to pay in the pre-Trai tariff regime time. Since the new Trai tariff regime has increased the costs of subscription for DTH and cable TV services by quite a margin, this is an interesting proposition from the DTH operator since the subscribers who do not like to pay more for their DTH connections after the new changes.

On its website, Dish TV has noted that the subscribers will be able to get the channel packs at old prices meaning that for Rs 290 per month, the customers will be able to enjoy 290+ channels. This translates to almost Rs 7 per day for the subscription. Now, while the new offer from Dish TV seems like a very attractive one and the subscribers are going to enjoy it, there is also a catch which the interested customers must keep in mind. The catch is that to enjoy these older prices, the subscribers must commit to a two-year subscription with Dish TV. The two year subscription period would allow Dish TV to hold onto the customers for more extended time period although it would be charging a little less from them.
