CES may not be famous for smartphones, but every year Japanese brand Sony launches new smartphones at the show floor in Las Vegas. And this year, it’s no different as the company today announced three new Xperia smartphones- the Sony Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and the budget Xperia L2. Surprisingly, the XA2 devices are the first Sony devices to ship with a fingerprint scanner in the United States. Sony just announced three devices without revealing the pricing and availability details. All the three phones will launch in the Indian market later this month or after MWC 2018 event in February.

Sony Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra specifications

Firstly, we have two mid-range smartphones from Sony. The Sony Xperia XA2 flaunts a 5.2-inch 1080p display with a pixel density of 424 PPI. The device measures 9.7mm in thickness and weighs 171grams. Sony has added a 23MP rear camera with 4K video recording at 120fps support. Up front, the XA2 has an 8MP selfie shooter with 120-degree wide-angle lens. The XA2 is powered by the Snapdragon 630 SoC and comes in a single 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage model. It has a USB Type-C port at the bottom and is backed by a 3300mAh battery.

The XA2 Ultra has a primary 16MP sensor on the front with OIS support along with a secondary 8MP sensor to capture wide-angle shots. It is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 SoC but comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal storage. This device is backed by a bigger 3580mAh battery and has a USB Type-C port at the bottom. Both the Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box.

Sony Xperia L2 Specifications and Features

The Sony Xperia L2 is an entry-level smartphone from the company and comes with the modest hardware yet premium design. The Xperia L2 has a 5.5-inch display on the front with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels that further translates to a pixel density of 267 PPI. This device measures 9.8mm in thickness and weighs 178grams.

Internally, the L2 is powered by a quad-core chipset clocked at 1.3GHz, which is mated to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. It runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is fuelled with a 3300mAh battery.
