Celkon Campus A35K remote with universal remote launched for Rs 3,199

Celkon introduced the Campus A35K smartphone last year and has now launched an upgraded version of the smartphone with the moniker Campus A35K Remote. As the name suggests, it comes with an infrared (IR) transmitter called the smart remote which can be used as a universal remote. You can use it to control televisions, air conditioners, set-top boxes, DVD players and so on. The IR transmitter is located at the top of the smartphone.

Other than this, the specifications are bog similar to the yesteryear Campus A35K. Celkon is offering a free 16GB microSD card with the smartphone. It will be available in black, blue, white and grey colours.

Celkon A35K Specifications

  • 3.5 inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels
  • 1GHz single core processor, 256 MB RAM
  • Android 4.4 KitKat
  • 512 MB internal storage, expandable via microSD (up to 32GB)
  • 3.2MP rear camera with a flash and a VGA front camera
  • 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Dual SIM
  • 1,400 mAh battery

The budget handsets these days have caught up in terms of specifications on offer and a single core processor just doesn’t work well enough to attract customers. But it makes up for all that with its smart remote and helps it stand apart.

This phone can be used as remote control and NOTHING else… 0.25GB RAM + 0.5GB Internal Storage??? Are you f-king kidding me???

The given 16GB SD card is as good as USELESS as this phone is running KitKat only, which has toooo many restrictions on sd card usage…

Better to go for Android One phones, imho

Lol 😀 absolutely correct, i second thought opinion. In my view this is very expensive for a remote 🙂
