Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) is soon going to make a major change in its broadband services. The telco is one of the largest fiber internet service providers (ISPs) in India at the moment. Its entry-level plan, which costs Rs 329, would soon be removed from several states. The plan is meant to bridge the digital divide and offers very affordable access to internet connectivity to users across the nation. But BSNL is going to remove the plan from several states by the end of this month. The precise date is July 30, 2023.

The reason behind the move is unknown. But one thing worth noting here is that BSNL has a habit of doing this. The state-run telco says that it will remove a certain plan on a certain date but doesn't really do that. It could definitely be a marketing tactic from the company to rush users into purchasing the plan with a new connection before the time runs out. Regardless, the plan is not going to be removed from all the telecom circles. A few of the circles that it will be removed from are - Bihar and Jharkhand, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, and more. Let's quickly go over the benefits of the plan.

BSNL Rs 329 Broadband Plan Benefits

BSNL offers the Rs 329 plan with 20 Mbps of speed and 1000GB of data. Beyond the consumption of 1000GB of FUP (fair usage policy) data, the speed drops to 4 Mbps for the consumer. Along with this, users also get a free landline connection with unlimited calling. Note that the instrument for the landline connection will have to be purchased by the customer separately. The plan is usually not available for customers in urban areas of the state. It is meant for low-earning customers in rural areas or small towns so that they can also get access to internet connectivity.
