BSNL Rs 698 Prepaid STV With 200GB Data Benefit and 180 Days Validity Launched

BSNL has now come up with a new data STV for prepaid users priced at Rs 698. Right now, a lot of prepaid customers are looking for data-only plans as they can use their mobile phone as a hotspot device for consuming only internet. Launched on the occasion of Diwali 2019, BSNL's Data STV of Rs 698 offers 200GB data benefit for a period of 180 days. That said, BSNL says this prepaid plan will be valid only until November 15, 2019, and that too only in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle. This plan from the state-run telco joins other data STVs from BSNL like Rs 56, Rs 109, Rs 198 and Rs 1,498. At the moment, we're not sure whether BSNL will introduce this prepaid plan in other circles or not. The plan is already up for recharge in AP & Telangana circle though. BSNL Rs 698 Data Only Prepaid Plan Launched: What it Offers to the Users

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited or BSNL always brings a new prepaid plan on the occasion of every prepaid plan. This year, on the eve of Diwali 2019, the state-run telco has launched a data-only plan, priced at Rs 698. As for the benefits, it offers a total of 200GB data which can be used during the entire validity period of 180 days. That said, unlike other prepaid plans from BSNL or other telcos, this new data STV does not have any daily data limit, which will come as a relief for many out there.

Aforesaid, BSNL introduced the Rs 698 Data STV only in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle. We have reached out to BSNL to check whether the company is planning to introduce the plan in other circles or not. We will update this space once we get a revert from the officials of BSNL. The plan's validity is 180 days, but the availability of the prepaid plan will expire on November 15, 2019.

Other Data STVs from BSNL Start at Rs 7

BSNL is also providing other data STVs starting at just Rs 7. Other prepaid Data STVs from the telco include Rs 16, Rs 56, Rs 109, Rs 198 and Rs 1,498. The Rs 7 and Rs 16 data only STVs offer 1GB and 2GB benefit, respectively and a validity of one day. The Rs 56 Data STV ships with 1.5GB data per day for 14 days, whereas the Rs 109 recharge comes with 1536MB data and free Personalised Ringback tone benefit.

Next on the list, we have the Rs 198 prepaid plan that offers 2GB data per day and PRBT benefits for 54 days. Since the company is not providing any unlimited voice calling benefit, the Rs 198 Data STV comes with 54 days validity, as opposed to the 28 days validity plans under Rs 200.

Lastly, we have the Rs 1,498 Data STV that offers 91GB of data for a period of 365 days.

Data Only STVs or Daily Data Prepaid Plans: Which One to Choose

Let's compare the Data STVs and Daily Data prepaid plans from BSNL under Rs 200. Aforementioned, BSNL's Rs 198 data STV for prepaid users comes with 2GB data per day for 54 days. However, the Rs 187 prepaid STV from the company comes with 3GB daily data for 28 days. The overall data benefit of Rs 187 plan becomes 84GB, whereas the STV 198 ships with a total of 108GB data benefit. While the validity of the STV 198 is better, the Rs 187 prepaid plan also offers unlimited voice calling and 100 SMSes per day.
