BSNL revises Student Special Plans with rate cutters and F&F benefits

The state-run operator BSNL has added special benefits to its Student Special prepaid plans. The students now get Friends and Family (F&F) calling facility with special rate cutters, which would reduce the calling rates as low as Rs. 10p/min.

Under the plan, the students can register two numbers. Local calls to the registered BSNL numbers will get Rs. 10p/min and local calls to other operators will be charged at Rs. 20p/min. In case, if the subscriber changes the numbers registered, Rs. 5 will be charged for every change of number/registration. While roaming, the base tariff would be applicable for calling to F&F number.

There are special tariff vouchers (STV) available, at Rs. 42 and Rs.88. The offer for the STVs are as follows – BSNL will offer the subscribers all local and STD calls to BSNL network at Rs.10 p/min and all local and STD calls to other networks at Rs. 30p/min. The difference is in their validity, where Rs. 42 pack comes with 21 days, whereas the Rs. 88 pack comes with 48 days. Both the STV’s will be charged in the minute-based billing pattern.
