The validity of data STV 17 has been reduced to 1 day from existing 2 days. At the same time free data usage has been increased marginally to 110MB from existing 90 MB.  BSNL has also reduced validity of data STV 39 and STV 56 to 5 days and 27 days respectively. To fill the gap between STV 17 and STV 39, BSNL has introduced new data pack STV 29 which comes with 150MB bundled usage and 3 days validity.

The revision is in line with BSNL's strategy of reducing validity of data STV to hike cost of data service. Recently BSNL had reduced validity of popular Rs.68 1GB 3G voucher Pan India.
