State run telecom operator, BSNL has announced a new plan of Rs. 74, named Rakhi pe Saugaat. As the plan name itself suggests, the company has announced this plan on the occasion of Rakhi festival. Under the all new Rakhi pe Saugaat plan, the operator is providing 1GB data per day along with unlimited voice calls for five days.

That said, this offer is only for the BSNL prepaid customers, and will be valid for the next twelve days. BSNL says that the plan will take effect on August 3, i.e., tomorrow and every BSNL user across the country can recharge the plan till August 15, 2017.
R.K.Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board said, “Maintaining its tradition BSNL is offering such cheapest tariffs on festivities.” In addition to this offer, few Combo vouchers have been launched which offers up to 18 percent extra talk value with 1 GB free data i.e. Rs.189, 289and 389 which is competitive in the industry.”
Earlier today, BSNL unveiled three new plans of Rs. 258, Rs. 378, and Rs. 548 for its prepaid customers. All the three plans are not valid on a pan-India basis at the moment, but the company could launch them in all circles in coming weeks.
The BSNL Rs. 548 plan is a special one because it offers 5GB of data per day for 90 days, with a speed cap of 80 Kbps after 5GB data. The Rs. 378 plan gives 2GB data per day, and 30 minutes of off-net calls, unlimited on-net calls for 30 days. For now, these three plans are valid for Punjab and Gujarat circles.
