BSNL Challenges Private Operators With Unlimited Voice at Rs 39 for 10 Days

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has now introduced a new voice-only prepaid plan of STV 39. This new voice-only plan of Rs 39 joins the other voice-only prepaid plans of BSNL such as Rs 99 and Rs 319, both come with the longer validity of 26 days and 90 days respectively. And now, BSNL has challenged the private telecom operators by providing unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit for a period of ten days. As seen with various other tariff plans from BSNL, the free voice calling will not be applicable for users in Mumbai and Delhi circles as BSNL is not offering services in those two circles. The STV 39 is already valid across all the telecom circles where BSNL is operating. Alongside unlimited voice calling, BSNL is also giving 100 SMS and free PRBT for the validity period with the STV 39 plan.

Shri R.K.Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board informed this special Tariff Voucher (STV) is only for voice with a validity of 10 days catering to the specific requirement of our esteemed subscribers. BSNL usually doesn't provide SMS benefits with its voice calling STVs, but the telco for the first time started offering SMS benefit too.

Alongside the newly launched STV 39, BSNL also has a couple of other dedicated voice calling plans of Rs 99 and Rs 319. The STV 99 offers unlimited voice calls to any network across the country (excluding Mumbai and Delhi) for 26 days along with free PRBT. The STV 319 offers unlimited voice calls without any SMS or PRBT benefit for 90 days.

The STV 39 plan is the best voice calling plan, but on the other hand, Reliance Jio is offering a month-free of voice calls and 1GB of 4G data for JioPhone users at just Rs 49. But that's valid only for JioPhone users and not for the standard 4G smartphone users, but BSNL's STV 39 is valid for all its prepaid subscribers irrespective of which device they're asking.

For users who want a voice calling plan valid for Mumbai and Delhi numbers, BSNL has a separate STV 45, which provides free voice calls to mobile numbers in Mumbai and Delhi circles. However, the STV 45 is valid only with the unlimited combo plans of Rs 186, Rs 484 and Rs 666 across the country.
