On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, BSNL has announced a new prepaid plan dubbed 'Maximum,' which costs Rs 999 and offers benefits for one year from the date of recharge. This new Maximum plan is applicable across all the circles, except N.E, Jammu & Kashmir and Assam. And it offers voice calling, SMS and data benefits like every other tariff plan launching these days from all the operators. This plan from BSNL competes with other long validity plans from Airtel and Reliance Jio.

BSNL Maximum Prepaid Plan Benefits
As per the official press statement from BSNL, this plan provides unlimited data capped at 1GB per day, unlimited free voice calls including roaming calls excluding Mumbai and Delhi and 100 SMS per day. After the completion of 1GB data per day, users will receive data speed of 40 Kbps, barely enough to send and receive WhatsApp text messages. Nevertheless, it's a nice addition from BSNL.

And the voice calls to Mumbai and Delhi will be charged at 60 paise per minute. Do make a note that the benefits mentioned above are valid between 0 to 181 days and for the next 182 to 365 days, voice calls will be charged at 60 paise per minute for both on-net and off-net calls.

BSNL Maximum Prepaid Plan Competitors
As stated, both Airtel and Reliance Jio has similar prepaid plans of Rs 999, and they offer similar benefits, but BSNL's plan is slightly ahead in terms of validity. Airtel is offering unlimited voice calls including national roaming calls, 100 local and STD SMS per day, 60GB of data on all handsets for 90 days.

Reliance Jio is also offering similar benefits of unlimited roaming calls without any limit, 100 SMS per day and 60GB of data for 90 days. Clearly, BSNL's Maximum plan is ahead of the competitors as it offers 180GB data for first 180 days along with unlimited calls and SMS. And another best part is it's valid across the country except for those three circles.
