By May 6th, 2017 AT 7:16 AM

State-run telecom operator, BSNL after launching three new STVs for its prepaid customers has now extended the validity of its Promotional DATA offers under GSM prepaid mobile services for another 90 days reports keralatelecominfo. These plans were set to expire on May 6, but the good news is they will be valid for another 90 days. Plus, they now offer more data than what they used to offer previously.

Under this scheme, BSNL has 12 plans in total, out of which only seven plans will offer more data to the customers which will come into effect starting May 7, 2017. The revised plans will be valid for another 90 days, i.e. until August 7, 2017.

The seven STVs which got revised include STV 78, STV 98, STV 155, STV 156, STV 198, STV 292, and STV 3099. The premium STV 3099 now offers 1GB data per day along with unlimited voice calls (both On-net and off-net) and 1500 SMS for 60 days.

Previously, the same plan used to offer 20GB data, unlimited calling to any network across India, and 3000 SMS. BSNL, however, has reduced the SMS benefits with the revised plan.

The STV 78 plan now gives 2.2GB data for five days, which is up by 10 percent as it used to offer 2GB data. The STV 98 now provides 1.2GB data from the previous 1GB for 14 days.

The STV 155 and STV 156 used to offer 2GB and 3GB data for 15 days and 10 days respectively, but the revised plans offer 2.2GB and 3.2GB with same validity.

The STV 198 now gives 3.2GB data for 28 days, up from 3GB which it used to offer earlier. And finally, the STV 291, which earlier offered 8GB data now comes bundled with 10GB data for 28 days.

The other five STVs of Rs. 444, Rs. 451, Rs. 549, Rs. 561, and Rs. 821 did not get any revisions. All the terms of conditions of these plans are similar to the previous ones, and these plans will be valid from May 7 on a pan-India basis.

Worst speed I have ever experienced . Got recharged with 394 plan . It is told by bsnl that data limit is 2gb per day , but with this speed it can’t go beyond 2 MB . Customer care is worst . When registered complaint their engineer says to come and show them speed at bsnl office .They should come at my place and check speed here where I am using their internet . I am surprised how bsnl even exist with such people in their team .

That’s too bad. Here the experience is different. Only BSNL engineer came at my place and no private company employee came at my place. The best network available here is BSNL followed by Idea and others. The worst networks here are Jio and Reliance.
