India's largest telecom and broadband service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) is geared up to provide more speedy broadband internet service with its PSTN network with the new expansion phase.
BSNL will deploy UTStarcom's B1000 multi-service access node (MSAN) solution throughout India to add approximately 475,000 ports of capacity to its existing broadband network, allowing additional subscribers to experience triple-play services.
BSNL and UTStarcom have extended their existing partnership to cover BSNL'S newly planned multiplay broadband network expansion.Under the terms of the agreement, UTStarcom will be responsible for network design, planning, and deployment.BSNL Subscribers with local loop access will be able to reach Internet speeds up to 20 megabits per second (Mbps) at very affordable cost.
