BSNL Jio

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) offers really economical plans and with great benefits. The same image is shared by Reliance Jio too. But there’s one area where BSNL beats Jio comfortably, and it is in offering a heavy data long-term plan. Both the companies have one such plan in their portfolios, and Jio’s plan is cut short severely by BSNL. Yes, BSNL doesn’t have a PAN-India 4G network to back up its plans, but it is still a great offer for anyone if he/she can get into a good BSNL network zone. Which plan are we talking about? Let’s find out.

BSNL Heavy Data Plan That Beats Jio

Both BSNL and Jio offer users a long-term 3GB daily data plan. BSNL offers its plan for Rs 2,399, while Jio offers its plan for Rs 3,499. The difference between both the plans is not only in the price but also in the benefits.

The Rs 3,499 plan from Jio comes with 3GB daily data for 365 days, which means that users get 1095GB of total data with the plan along with 100 SMS/day and unlimited voice calling. There is no major over-the-top (OTT) benefit offered to the users but only a free subscription to a suite of Jio applications, including JioCinema, JioTV, JioSecurity, JioNews, and JioCloud.

On the other hand, BSNL offers its Rs 2,399 plan for 425 days which is 60 days more than what users get with the long-term 3GB daily data plan from Jio. This also means that users get way more data with this plan is 1,275GB of data in total. Users also get a free OTT benefit of Eros Now too. BSNL is also giving the users an option of changing the caller tune.

One other difference that you should note is the internet speed that the user gets after the fair-usage-policy (FUP) data is over. BSNL allows users to continue consuming the internet at 80 Kbps once the FUP data is consumed. At the same, Jio only allows users to consume the internet at 64 Kbps after the FUP data is over. These are big differences between the two plans. There’s no question that BSNL’s plan is way superior to what Jio is offering in the same category. Note that Airtel and Vodafone don’t provide such a plan to the users in the first place. If only BSNL had a 4G network to back its plan, it would have been unstoppable. There are more plans offered by the telco that you can check out by going to its website.
