
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a state-run telecom operator, has awarded a Rs 94.35 crore project to a Pace Digitek Limited's subsidiary Lineage Power Private Limited. This project/order is to strengthen the power and energy storage infrastructure across the telco's network in India. Lineage Power will supply BSNL with 25,000 lithium-ion battery modules rated at 100 AH/48V, along with 2,500 IP55-rated equipment racks designed for both outdoor and indoor deployment.

Lineage Power will configure the supplied systems into battery banks with capacities ranging from 300 AH to 1,200 AH, supporting the operational requirements of telecom sites across diverse conditions. This order by BSNL includes a comprehensive five-year warranty, followed by a five-year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC).
This contract between the companies is intended to ensure that there's uninterrupted operation and its crictical power infrastructure continues to operate smoothly over a 10 year period.

As per the government mandaged law, all the Battery Management Systems supplied under the order will have to be registered on the Trusted Telecom Portal. The government wants all the critical telecom infrastructure in the country to get approved by the Trusted Telecom Portal, so that in under no circumstances, a cyber warfare can't affect India, its power grids, or communication lines.
In line with this, the government, in fact, removed all the Chinese vendors from the network. This order will take some time be executed by the Lineage Power Private Limited. It will happen in a phase wise manner over a period of five months.
