BlackBerry PlayBook Sold Out in India; RIM Extends Festive Offer By A Week

BlackBerry Smartphone maker Research In Motion (RIM) today extended its 50% discount offer on BlackBerry PlayBook tablet by a week for all its perspective buyers in Indian market.




RIM (India) said that within 4 days of price reduction, BlackBerry PlayBook Tab is sold out in all retail outlets across the country. The company sold more than 12,000 devices in just four days since the offer was announced on December 27, 2011.

We also hint out on 27th December on Twitter that offer will be extended after the 31st December. BlackBerry PlayBook is available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB models at festive season price of Rs. 13490 (16 GB),Rs. 15990 (32 GB)Rs. 24990 (64 GB).

Mr. Sunil Dutt, Managing Director, Research In Motion India stated "We are pleased to see the excitement and overwhelming response to our limited festive season offer on BlackBerry PlayBook. I believe that the 16-GB and 32-GB version of the PlayBook is completely sold out in the retail channels,"
