BlackBerry Motion, the second Blackberry device from licensee TCL Communication of China, is now available in India via e-retailer Flipkart. Though the BlackBerry Motion hasn’t been officially launched in India, Flipkart has listed the smartphone for Rs 42,999. The listing doesn’t mention it as an imported product but isn’t any “Flipkart Assured” tag either.

It is possibly an unofficial listing of the device which is yet to make way to the Indian market. There are chances that BlackBerry Motion will officially be made available through Flipkart. The page shows that consumers will get 12-months manufacturer warranty too. For the Blackberry KEYone smartphone, the company has tied-up with Amazon India and the phone is still an Amazon exclusive.

The smartphone itself is the latest from China’s TCL, which is now designing and manufacturing phones carrying the BlackBerry brand name. The Motion sports a full HD 5.5-inch touchscreen display with a conventional 16:9 aspect ratio and DragonTrail Glass protection. The bottom bezel comes with a physical home screen button cum fingerprint scanner.

The BlackBerry Motion is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. The phone offers 32GB onboard storage with an option to expand it up to 256GB via hybrid microSD card slot.

In the camera department, the phone packs a single lens camera on both front and back. There is a 12MP primary sensor with f/2.0 aperture lens, dual-tone LED flash and phase detection. Up front, is an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture lens. The Motion can shoot 4K videos at 30fps.

The Motion is backed by a hefty 4,000mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support and a USB Type-C port. Other features include a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, IP67 certified, and NFC.

The BlackBerry Motion runs the Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box. The smartphone also features a lineup of security suites like DTEK security suite and support for FIPS 140-2 Full Disk Encryption. It also comes with Android For Work and Google Play for Work.

As for its availability in India, the Blackberry Motion is listed on Flipkart solely. Whether the actual device will land in India or not, nothing is confirmed as such. The e-tailer has, however, listed the Motion in Black colour option only and the price starts for Rs 42,999 for the 32GB model.
