Bharti Airtel Rs 169 Prepaid Plan Against Reliance Jio Rs 149 All-in-One Plan is a Tough Choice

Follow Us

Over time, the Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio prepaid portfolios have grown competitive. The pricing of the prepaid plans for both of these telecom operators is more similar than ever on all the price levels. Whether it is about plans under Rs 200, under Rs 500 or even the long-term plans, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio offer prepaid plans which come with similar price tags and offer very same benefits. However, one significant difference that has recently come up in the prepaid portfolios of both of these companies is of the IUC recharges. Reliance Jio has diverged a little bit in this case and has started charging 6 paise per minute from its subscribers for outgoing calls to other telecom operators, and this has led to the rise of new talk time plans and all-in-one plans. However, the Rs 149 all-in-one plan by Reliance Jio still rivals the Rs 169 prepaid plan being offered by Bharti Airtel given the benefits they both ship. So, which one should you go for? Read ahead to find out.

Reliance Jio Rs 149 Prepaid Plan Benefits

So, firstly we will take a look at the Rs 149 prepaid plan by Reliance Jio. Now it is worth noting that the Rs 149 prepaid plan is revised one from the telecom operator and it has recently been changed from its previous benefits to offer revised benefits. Now in the current situation, the Reliance Jio Rs 149 prepaid plan offers 1.5GB data per day to the subscribers as is the case with base plans of Reliance Jio providing daily data. As for the validity of this prepaid plan, the subscribers are going to find that it is slightly below what you would expect it to be. The validity of this plan is 24 days, meaning that the total data benefit is 36GB in the entire period. It also gets you unlimited calling to Jio networks and 300 minutes of non-Jio calls or the IUC benefit to other networks. The SMS benefit is 100 SMS per day along with a free subscription to Reliance Jio apps.

Bharti Airtel Rs 169 Prepaid Plan Benefits

As compared to that, Bharti Airtel Rs 169 prepaid plan is slightly different if not totally distinct. This plan ships 1GB data per day to the subscribers, and the validity of this prepaid plan is 28 days, instead of the shorter validity of the Reliance Jio prepaid plan. Also, the subscribers get benefit to 100 SMS per day and a subscription to Wynk Music and Airtel Xstream app which offer music and video content to the subscribers.

How Do The Two Plans Compare?

Now coming to the comparison of these two plans, it is apparent that when it comes to total data benefit and a higher daily limit data, the Reliance Jio Rs 149 prepaid plan actually surpasses the Bharti Airtel Rs 169 prepaid plan, even though the former is cheaper. The total data benefit in the case of Reliance Jio is 36 GB, whereas, in the case of Bharti Airtel, it is only 28GB, which is 8GB less. But, with this, we would also like to add the fact that the Bharti Airtel plan will allow you to make unlimited call to any network without any hindrance, but if you are someone who makes calls to other networks a lot, and more than 300 minutes, then you might want to add on to the top of your Rs 149 prepaid plan. So, if you want more data, then the Rs 149 Reliance Jio prepaid plan would be your choice, or else for calling purposes, the Rs 169 prepaid plan by Bharti Airtel would come in handy.
