Bharti Airtel Android DTH Box Might Be the Best In India

Bharti Airtel offers an Airtel Xstream Box under its DTH arm. Yes, there is an Android STB offered by Tata Sky as well and that too for the same price, but the reason why I say Airtel Xstream Box is arguably the best is not just because of the features it offers, but also that it fits well into the Airtel ecosystem.

Bharti Airtel Android DTH Box

Bharti Airtel offers a range of services in India, including Direct-to-Home (DTH), broadband, and mobile network services. The company has established itself as a consistent and quality service provider regardless of the type of service it is providing. Its DTH arm, namely Airtel Digital TV, has been right at the top when it comes to providing satellite TV services. Airtel Digital TV has evolved very fast and has also been offering an Android DTH Box for a long-time now. The DTH Box is called Airtel Xstream Box. It is arguably the best Android STB in India right now.

Airtel Xstream Box From Bharti Airtel

Bharti Airtel offers an Airtel Xstream Box under its DTH arm. Yes, there is an Android STB offered by Tata Sky as well and that too for the same price, but the reason why I say Airtel Xstream Box is arguably the best is not just because of the features it offers but also that it fits well into the Airtel ecosystem.

If you are someone who consumes other services from Bharti Airtel, which includes postpaid mobile service, you can very conveniently add your DTH service into the same bill with Airtel Black. It will allow you to pay for everything from Airtel under a single bill.

Coming to the features of the Airtel Xstream Box, the Android STB runs on Android TV 9 platform. It allows users to convert their smartphone into a remote and moreover comes with an inbuilt Chromecast for enabling casting of mobile screens directly into TV without the need of cables or anything else.

Since it is an Android STB, users can comfortably download more than 5,000 applications from the Google Play Store, and the STB also comes with support for Google Assistant, which allows users to give voice commands to the TV.

One of the best things about this STB is that it can support 4K content. So you can watch your favourite shows from your favourite over-the-top (OTT) platforms directly on the TV without any hassle.

The Airtel Xstream Box is currently available for Rs 2,499 in India. The company says it is a discounted price and that users are saving Rs 1,101 if they are purchasing it today for Rs 2,499. Thus the original cost of the Xstream Box from Bharti Airtel is Rs 3,600. This is a good STB for anyone who doesn’t own a Smart TV and, on top of that, doesn’t want to invest in one. The Xstream Box can convert any regular TV into a Smart TV.
