The Best Internet Plans from local ISPs in Bangalore

The Local ISPS are swarming with marketing strategies and low-priced high-speed Internet packages. It becomes a daunting task for consumers to select the best ISP within their price bracket we curate some of the best internet packages from the ISPs in Bengaluru so that it will be a cakewalk for you to select the best one.

We have created some idealized situation wherein a person would be requiring a maximum of 30GB fast speed internet and then throttled to a minimum of 1MBPS.

Act Fibernet

Act Fibernet has a major chunk of Bangalore covered with its latest Fiber net network. The best plan is the ACT Blaze for Rs1049 which entitles you for a free 50GB of usage and then the speed gets throttled to 50GB. After throttling we were able to get actual download speeds of around 50-60kpbs which is descent.

Hathway Broadband

Hathway has one of the best after sales service (Comparatively!) and they offer free shifting of the connection within the city limits. They have introduced a handful of Fiber Broadband plans which are extremely affordable. The HD Stream 2 plan bundles a 40GB of usage at a Whopping 50Mbps and will be throttled to 512kbps. The only drawback is that Hathway expects you to pay advance for 3 months.

You Broadband

You Broadband have a descent network however the performance varies from different nodes. The downside is that the outages are a little too frequent but again the technicians attend to it on a priority basis. The Hurricane 12mbps plan gives a full speed quota of 50GB and after that the speed gets throttled to 1mbps which is a 50% increase in speed over the other ISP. The installation charge is perched at a high Rs770 for a new connection.

Tikona Broadband

Tikona is one of the oldest players in the localized ISP sector. Tikona offers lower speeds than the other Internet providers but offers more data. The best plan we came across is the 4Mbps plan which for a monthly rental of Rs 1100 offers 50GB of free usage post which it caps the speed at the usual 512Kbps.

Most of the ISPs lack agile after sales support and this is the only drawback of the local ISPs. With the advent of fiber networks the speeds have improved drastically and the frequency of outages has come down.

We would love to hear from you, drop down a comment about your experience with any of the ISP in Bengaluru.
