It is fuelled by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC, paired with 2GB of RAM.
The smartphone comes in two storage options- 16GB and 32GB. Both the variants feature 2GB of RAM. The storage is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card. Asus also partnered with Google and offering 100GB of Google Drive space free for two years with the Zenfone Live.
Aside from the 5MP front-facing camera, the Zenfone Live has a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The device boots Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based Zen UI 3.0 and has connectivity options such as 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-SIM, and USB OTG via the micro USB port. It also has GPS, AGPS, and GLONASS.
The smartphone is armed with a 2650mAh non-removable battery. Asus did not mention the fast charging technology used in the phone. The Asus Zenfone Live weighs just 120 grams. Further, Asus is betting big on the audio department of the Zenfone Live claiming that the phone comes with ICEpower enhanced five-Magnet Speaker for louder sound and less distortion and dual MEMS microphones for clearer voice quality & less noise.
