It seems that May has been the month of flagship phones. Firstly, we saw the launch of the much awaited OnePlus 7 Pro and even the Chinese smartphone giant, Xiaomi has been teasing the launch of its flagship phone, the Redmi K20 Pro. Another flagship phone in the pipeline which will be official today is the Asus flagship, the Zenfone 6. From the past few days, we have seen a lot of leaks about the Asus Zenfone 6, and we are getting to know all sorts of things about this device which have to do with the camera setup, processor, design and more. However, now we have launch details of the phone as well.

Asus Zenfone 6 Launch Details

The company has announced that the launch event for the phone will start globally tonight at 20:00 CEST, meaning that in India the event will be live at 11:30 PM and fans will be able to catch it live via 'Asus' official Twitter feed. Now we already know the tagline of this new device from Asus which reads, 'defy the ordinary', and it has already hinted that the Zenfone 6 will bring something which will not be seen on other flagship phones. As per the teases about the Zenfone 6 available now, the device comes with a full-screen display without a notch. Additionally, the phone also comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack a triple slot to accommodate dual SIM card and a microSD card slot.

Now the leaks about the Asus Zenfone 6 have left little about the phone a mystery. Many expected that since the Asus Zenfone 6 is sporting a full-screen display, it would come with a slider mechanism like the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 or a pop-up selfie camera mechanism. However, some new leaks by a Chinese website and Roland Quandt revealed that what would set the Zenfone 6 truly apart from other flagships would be the flip module with two cameras - one 48MP sensor and a secondary 13MP sensor.

Asus Zenfone 6 Expected Specifications

Some other specifications of the Asus Zenfone 6 include the Snapdragon 855 SoC which we have already seen to be becoming a part of all the flagship smartphones debuting in 2019. This processor could be paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage under the hood. On the software front, the Asus Zenfone 6 is expected to run on Android 8.1 Oreo, and it is likely to pack a 5000mAh battery. This phone from Asus will be succeeding the previous flagship of Asus, the Zenfone 5Z.

The Asus launch event, as we mentioned, would be live at 20:00 CSET meaning that in India the live stream will be available at 11:30 PM on Asus India Twitter handle.
