Soon after revealing the expected arrival of Zenfone 2 in India, which is expected to be in the last week of April, Asus has announced that it will be bringing three of the five variants of the Zenfone 2 to India. Although, the company has not yet let out the information about the three variants, but it stated that, “the devices will feature back light (HDR) mode and fast charging technology.”
Asus released the first teaser of Zenfone 2 in March, in which it was revealed that the Zenfone 2 will come in five variants with different specifications and storage and now, three of those variants are going to be launched in India. The three model numbers of the Zenfone 2, that are under the spotlight, are ZE551ML, ZE550ML and ZE500CL. Interestingly, all the five variants of Zenfone 2 run Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
As of now, reports confirm the arrival of ZE550ML and ZE500CL to India, but the ZE551ML is a tentative entrant as the phone itself branches out in three different storage capacities (64GB, 32GB and 16GB), and there is still no confirmation about which storage model will be announced in India. Except the storage, processor and RAM and other specs of all the three ZE551ML variants stays the same. It comes with a 5.5-inch display, microSD expandable internal storage, 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera, and is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. It supports connectivity options such as, Dual SIM, LTE. In terms of pricing, the 64GB variant will be available in US at $322 (Rs 20,089 approx.), while the 32GB and 16GB variants will be available for a price of $273 (Rs 17,030 approximately), and $220 (Rs 13,700 approximately) respectively.
