ASUS has unveiled a completely new series of the ZenPad, named as ZenPad M. These new tabs are targeted at enterprise segment of the market and is packed with business solution modules under a device controller system, known as ADAM (ASUS Device Admin for Mobile).
Just like other companies like Samsung and BlackBerry also have their own variants of business solutions, such as Samsung KNOX, Android for Work, and BlackBerry’s Android enterprise apps; these exclusive offerings are made to suit enterprise requirements. With the ZenPad M, ASUS is also trying to set its foot in the enterprise arena, however, the main highlight of the ZenPad M is not ASUS, but the ADAM software.
ADAM is an amalgamation of tools that are appropriate for managing ZenPad M series of tablets. The service interface of ADAM also supports remote installation and updating of apps, taking screenshots for proper software distribution verification and sending messages, and remote locking and secure wipe. Tools for ADAM have been available in the Play store for a while, but ASUS has combined all these tools in a single package, which works with a web browser.
As of now, there are two ADAM ZenPad M tabs that are ready to be unveiled by ASUS. These two variants are — a 7-inch ZenPad M and a 10-inch ZenPad M. ASUS is keeping mum about the specifications, pricing, and availability. However, as we can assume from the pictures, the ZenPad M looks a lot like ZenPad 7. As on can see in the video too, ASUS seems to be sticking with its age-old design.
The ZenPad M is expected to debut at MWC this week, in Barcelona. Stay tuned with us to know more about the ZenPad M. Meanwhile, you can take a look at the promotional video of the ZenPad M for more info about what's on offer.
