Apple event this year is just a few hours away. The event which will witness the launch of the latest iPhones this year will take place at the Steve Jobs Theater in Apple campus in California. Even with just a few hours left for the launch, the internet is brimming with leaks concerning the latest iPhone Xr, iPhone Xs and the other small sneak peeks. The recent leaks include iPhone Xr images in the wild, live photos of the iPhone Xs and case covers of the OLED models. Besides, speculations are floating all around whether or not the new iPhones will support fast charging. Reportedly, a SIM tray picture leak has also given away possible colour options for the new iPhones.
Bigger Camera Module and Starting Price of $899 for New iPhone Xs
The most noteworthy image leak relating to the iPhone has been pulled off by the Russian website, Hi-tech.mail.ru, which has spotted the 6.1-inch LCD variant of the phone and shows the rear side of it. The phone is a black colour variant with a slightly bigger camera module on the back than the one which we get to see in the present models. The Russian website also spotted the iPhone Xs on the official website for a brief period with the availability showing for September 21. The website also spotted that the price of the smaller 5.8-inch iPhone will be pegged at $899. (Rs 65,400).
On the Chinese social media website Weibo, images of iPhone Xs and its higher variant iPhone Xs Max were spotted. The photos pointed out that the iPhone Xs Max will come with a similar design to the iPhone Xs but with a bigger screen. Spigen, the case manufacturer has also listed cases for the upcoming iPhone Xs and iPhone Xs Max, and it points out the same thing as the images on Weibo did.
New iPhone Unlikely to Offer Fast Charging Support
9to5Mac has reported based on unconfirmed sources that the 6.5-inch iPhone Xs Max will weigh 7.34 ounces (208.085 grams), which is a tad bit more than the 7.13 ounces (202.132 grams) weight of the current large variant iPhone 8 Plus. This difference has reportedly come up because of a stainless-steel band on the new iPhone, instead of an aluminium one which we get to see on the iPhone 8 Plus. Also, it’s being said that Apple will probably not ship the new phones with Fast Charging technology since the chargers this time are supposed to be the 5W ones with USB Type-A instead of the previously expected 18W USB Type-C ones.
Dual SIM Slot and Numerous Colour Options
According to more leaks, the iPhone Xs Max is expected to come with dual SIM slots with the SIM tray on the lower edge of the phone. With this, the speaker grille on this new iPhone is expected to be redesigned with four holes on one side, and seven on the other side. Additionally, new reports say that the Apple Watch processor this year will go 64-bit with the S4 SiP (System in Package). This time the watch has also been told to go through a design transformation and now it comes with a larger screen and thinner bezels. Ben Gaskin has also leaked the SIM trays of the 6.1-LCD model of the iPhone 9/iPhone Xr/iPhone Xc. The single SIM trays come in the colour options of Red, Blue, and Brown colour. Whereas the other ones come in Gold, Grey, White, Blue, Red, and Orange.
