Alcatel 3V is the new smartphone from the TCL-owned smartphone brand in India. Priced at Rs 9,999, the smartphone will be exclusively available on Flipkart in the country. Alcatel also announced various launch offers with the device including the instant Rs 2,200 cashback offer from telecom operator Reliance Jio. The handset boasts of decent features for the asking price with the USP being the dual rear cameras that also packs EIS. But the letdown for the Alcatel 3V is the MediaTek processor that's used to power the device. The device will be pitted against the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and the recently Honor 7C smartphones in the Indian market.

Alcatel 3V Specifications
The Alcatel 3V was originally launched at the start of 2018 alongside the Alcatel 1X, Alcatel 3 and Alcatel 5, but only the Alcatel 3V has been launched in the sub-continent today. The 3V flaunts a 6-inch Full HD+ display carrying a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels. The display also has 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass on top. Under the hood, the smartphone has a MediaTek MT8735A chipset, paired with 3GB of RAM. Alcatel has added 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card.

Aforesaid, the USP of the Alcatel 3V is the dual rear camera setup. The phone has a 16MP primary camera, which is coupled with a 5MP secondary depth sensor to add bokeh effect to the pictures. Alcatel has added other features such as the PDAF, Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS) and Bokeh. The phone has an 8MP shooter on the front with an LED flash. Alcatel also added the trendy Face Unlock feature on the smartphone, which the company is calling as Face Key.

The Alcatel 3V has sensors such as an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope and proximity sensor. Connectivity options in the device include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and micro USB port. The fingerprint sensor is present at the rear side of the phone, and lastly, the phone is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery.

The device competes with the likes of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and Honor 7C devices. The former is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, while the latter has the Snapdragon 450 SoC.
