Follow Us

Two of the major telecom operators in the industry are Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea. While Reliance Jio is a big name in the telecom industry, it is facing a little bit of distaste from the subscribers as the customers of the operator have decided to side with some of the other telcos after the introduction of the new IUC charges on the Reliance Jio prepaid plans. Now, when it comes to the prepaid portfolio of Bharti Airtel and Vodafone, there are a lot of prepaid plans that the subscribers will find in common. For example, if you go on scrolling the prepaid plans of both of these operators, then you will see some plans which will resemble the pricing and the benefits as well. Currently, there are more than five plans in the Bharti Airtel and Vodafone prepaid portfolio which are available for the same price. Now amongst all these plans, there are some differences since the operators are different. Here are the differences between the common plans that you should keep in mind.

Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Prepaid Plans With Common Features

The first lowest value prepaid plan, which is common between both of these operators is the Rs 169 prepaid plan. For both of the operators, the plan offers 1GB data per day for 28 days, along with unlimited calls and 100 SMS per day. For Bharti Airtel users, the additional benefits include Wynk and Airtel Xstream App subscription. There is also a Rs 199 prepaid plan by both the operators. Under Bharti Airtel, the subscribers of this prepaid plan would be able to get 1.5GB data per day for 28 days. The additional benefits under this plan include Wynk Music Subscription, Norton Mobile Security, Airtel Xstream App subscription, free 4-week course on Shaw academy and 100% cashback on recharge for two years. Vodafone Offers the same benefit to its subscribers, with the exception of the additional benefit which includes Vodafone Play subscription. Another similar plan for the two subscribers is the Rs 399 prepaid plan with 84 days validity, 1GB daily data, unlimited calls and respective additional benefits.

Rs 299 and Rs 1,699 Prepaid Plan Differ for Both Operators

For Bharti Airtel and Vodafone subscribers, things start to change up a little bit with the Rs 299 prepaid plan. While the Bharti Airtel subscribers get a 28 days validity plan with 2.5GB data per day with Amazon Prime subscription and other Airtel Thanks benefits, Vodafone subscribers get the 3GB data benefit for the entire period of 70 days. The Airtel subscribers also 100 SMS per day whereas, the Vodafone subscribers get 1000 SMS for the entire 70 day period.

The annual validity plan by Bharti Airtel and Vodafone also differs in benefits. The Rs 1,699 prepaid plan ships 1.4GB data per day to the Airtel subscribers, whereas the Vodafone subscribers get access to 1.5GB data per day. The Airtel subscribers get better Airtel Thanks benefits with Shaw academy, Wynk Music, Norton Mobile Security, Airtel Xstream App, while the Vodafone subscribers get access to Vodafone Play app.

Major Difference in Additional Benefits for Both Plans

With all these plans, the Rs 349 prepaid plan is another similar one by Vodafone and Bharti Airtel, and again for both of these operators, this plan offers 3GB data per day to the subscribers with unlimited calling, and 100 SMS per day. It is worth noting that while the benefits on paper appear to be the same, Bharti Airtel has a little bias on its part owing to the better additional benefits which include Wynk Music, Airtel Xstream app with every prepaid plan and other offerings like Norton Security, cashback, and more with other plans.
