Airtel offers free Wi-Fi router to new Broadband users in hopes to counter Reliance JIO

As Reliance JIO is nearing the launch of its broadband & 4G services, Airtel is trying to counter them in every possible way. A few days back, Bharti Airtel announced that its 4G network is present in 300+ cities across India. Now, they have come up with offers in the broadband segment. Airtel is now offering free Wi-Fi router to every new user who buys a new broadband connection from the company.

Airtel's broadband plans starts from Rs. 699 with a speed of 22.4 Mbps. Airtel is also waiving off Installation charges of Rs. 1,000 if old users of MTNL/BSNL or any other ISP switches to their broadband network. However, original bill of old service provider will have to be submitted while applying for a new Airtel broadband connection.
