Bharti Airtel has deployed more than 2,400 new 5G sites across Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh over the past 12 months, significantly strengthening its network footprint in the two states. The expansion is aimed at delivering faster data speeds, wider coverage and an improved network experience for customers, according to an official release dated January 19, 2026.
Expansion strengthens 5G coverage
Airtel said the network expansion spans 87 districts and now brings high-speed connectivity to around 36 million customers across major cities, fast-growing towns and remote rural areas. With an average of six new sites becoming operational every day, the enhanced network is expected to support smoother video streaming, faster downloads, uninterrupted online work and learning, and more reliable digital payments.
Key districts benefiting from the expansion include Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Sagar, Raipur, Bilaspur, Durg, Dewas, Korba and Rajnandgaon, among others. The strengthened 5G footprint is expected to support the digital requirements of citizens, students, micro-enterprises and government institutions, according to the telco.
