Airtel Business, the business-to-business (B2B) arm of Bharti Airtel, has achieved a remarkable milestone by surpassing 20 million connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices in Q4 FY23, as per data reported by Frost & Sullivan. This accomplishment solidifies Airtel Business's dominant position in the IoT market, capturing an impressive 54.3% share in Q4 FY23, according to the report shared by Mint. Airtel Business has been securing significant deals to strengthen its leadership in the IoT space. Notably, they recently signed an important contract to deploy 1.3 million smart meters on NB-IoT in Bihar, showcasing their commitment to enhancing digital infrastructure.
Additionally, the company secured another major win with TP Western Odisha Distribution, a joint venture of the Odisha government and Tata Power, to deploy 200,000 smart meters. Furthermore, Airtel Business has partnered with Matter Motor Works to run 300,000 bikes using cellular IoT technology.
