Users of ACT Broadband in Hyderabad City have a reason to be happy since ACT Fibernet has silently increased the speeds of its broadband plans in the city. In addition to this, select plans have also gone through revision, and now they come with more FUP data than before. The plans which have undergone change and now come with better speed include the Rs 1050 broadband plan which provides 100Mbps speed as opposed to the 75Mbps speed before. The next plan to rank up in this list is the ACT A-Max Rs 1299 plan which comes with 150Mbps of combined upload and download speed. Finally, the company has also introduced a new ACT Incredible Rs 1999 plan that previously used to come with 150Mbps speed whereas the new plan offers 200Mbps of speed. Plans which have undergone FUP revision include the Rs 1050 plan which now offers 750GB of data compared to the 600GB of FUP per month. Next up, the Rs 1,299 plan presently provides 1TB of FUP data as opposed to the 750GB data which ACT used to ship before. Also, the Rs 1,999 broadband plan by ACT now offers 1.5TB of data. With the launch of Jio GigaFiber on August 15, ACT seems to be gearing up for the fierce competition which awaits the provider in the coming months. Although the FUP and speed revisions have been introduced for Hyderabad only, it is expected that ACT will introduce the same alterations to its plans in other cities also. As of now, Hyderabad remains a crucial market for ACT since the service provider boasts of 65% market share in the area.
On top of the existing plans, the fibre broadband operator is also giving discounts if a user chooses any plan for six months or for a year. For example, a user going for the Rs 1050 broadband plan with 100 Mbps speed and 750GB of FUP for ten months advance rental, ACT Fibernet will offer the user two months of free service and waives off installation charges too. So with this, a user will get a 100 Mbps broadband connection from ACT Fibernet at just Rs 875 per month for one year, as highlighted by the company. For users choosing the rental plan for 18 months, the company will provide six months of free service and zero installation charges.
