BSNL Showcases Automatic Customer Acquisition and SIM Vending Machine at IMC2024
Government-owned telecommunications company Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) showcases Automatic Customer Acquisition and SIM Vending Machine at India Mobile Congress 2024. BSNL has been ramping up its 4G network, which can later be upgraded to 5G, on a pan-India basis. To facilitate faster customer acquisition, BSNL plans to deploy these machines. Customers can make use of this 24/7 automated SIM delivery facility and get onboarded to BSNL services using a BSNL 4G SIM. More details are yet to be known as of this writing.

Automated SIM Vending Machines

With this SIM vending machine, customers can expect their travel problems to a BSNL office to be alleviated to some extent, allowing BSNL to onboard new customers more quickly.

Technological Innovations on Display

Additionally, BSNL showcased solutions including Intelligent Village, Metaverse, and Mission Critical Services. The BSNL stall also featured immersive solutions like QDA (Quick Deployment Antenna), private 5G networks, and the No-Spam Network.

AI-ML Powered Spam Detection Network

BSNL demonstrated its highly anticipated AI-ML powered spam detection network, which not only alerts users but also blocks spam at the tech expo.

Partnership with Indian Navy

During the IMC, the Secretary of DoT and the BSNL CMD, along with representatives from the Indian Navy, announced the upgrade of the Navy's L-band connectivity from 480 Kbps to GX, which offers speeds of up to 20 Mbps. BSNL, in partnership with Viasat, has been providing mission-critical services to the Indian Defense Forces.

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), a state-owned telecommunications company, showcased its technological innovations and developments at the India Mobile Congress, taking place from October 15 to 18 at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
