Rollout Plan and Future Expansion
Meta AI, which currently has almost 500 million monthly active users, will be available in the UK, Brazil, and additional countries in Latin America and Asia starting Wednesday, according to the social media company.
The chatbot will also support languages including Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese, Meta said.
"Excited to expand access to Meta AI with our rollout in 21 new countries globally, starting today with the UK and Brazil, as well as new countries in Latin America and Asia," Ahmad AI-Dahle, VP of GenAI at Meta, shared on LinkedIn.
Access Across Countries
The rollout begins with Brazil, Bolivia, Guatemala, Paraguay, the Philippines, and the United Kingdom. This expansion will include support for Tagalog, Meta said.
The next wave of countries—Algeria, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Malaysia, Morocco, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Thailand, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, and Yemen—will soon have access to Meta AI, with added language support for Arabic, Indonesian, Thai, and Vietnamese.
The AI assistant is available on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger apps, and on the Meta.ai website.
"Bringing Meta AI to more of our users around the world is one of our top priorities, and I'm excited for our users in these new markets," Ahmad said.
After the gradual rollout, the company said the chatbot would be available in 43 countries and a dozen languages, keeping it on track to become the most used AI assistant in the world by the end of 2024.

Integration with Ray-Ban Meta Glasses
The latest expansion will not include the new character voices for the AI chatbot that Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced at the company's annual Connect conference. These are being rolled out on a separate timeline, the company clarified.
Reportedly, Meta AI will also be made available on Ray-Ban Meta glasses in the UK and Australia, the company said.
