Google rolled out its very popular Google Maps Mobile application for India, that roughly pinpoints your location using the location of the cell towers your phone is connecting to. The GPRS based Free Map application will be a 24-7 powerful guide for all peoples on the move providing them with useful information about road map, and street view and traffic directions in some part of the world.
The new software looks and works fine with most of all Nokia,Samsung and Motorola phone,so its very nice and useful from the previous version of Google Maps Mobile.The My Location feature allows you to check your own location what is around you, what time would it take to be at any point or what would be the nearest place for you to have a piece of pizza this seems to be a great source of help for users .
It is supported by devices with or without GPS.
When you press zero on your phone's keypad, a blue dot shows up on the map representing an estimate of your location. The feature is called My Location.The accuracy of My Location isn't nearly as good as GPS, but Google claims that accuracy improves with use.
You can add more fun by attaching your orkut or google account with this application and you will be able to see your friends' locations and status messages also you can share your location and status with select friends by selecting "Join Latitude" in the application menu
