Huawei Nova 2 Lite Goes Official With Android Oreo and Snapdragon 430 SoC

If there’s one brand which is unstoppable at the moment, it’s Huawei. The Chinese conglomerate, which is on a launch spree of late has introduced a Huawei Nova 2 Lite smartphone in the Philippines today. Unlike other Huawei and Honor phones, the Nova 2 Lite comes with a Snapdragon 430 chipset on board. The Nova 2 Lite, for now, will be available only in the Philippines, but Huawei might launch it in other markets with different moniker under its child brand Honor. The Nova 2 Lite costs P9,990 (approx. Rs 12,500), and the highlight of the smartphone is its design.

The Huawei Nova 2 Lite sports unimetal body design and comes in three colour options- Matte Black, Blue, and Gold. It flaunts a 5.99-inch with a resolution of 1440 x 720 (HD+) pixels, and it’s an IPS display. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset, which is more than a two-year-old chipset, but it’s still one of the best entry-level chipsets available in the market today.

The chipset is mated to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expandable up to 128GB with a microSD card. Huawei seems to have launched the phone in only one variant with 3GB of RAM. That’s a good thing to avoid the confusion in the consumers mind.

The device runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 like several other Huawei devices releasing these days. A 3000mAh battery is present inside the smartphone to keep it running the entire day. The phone offers 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, and a micro USB port connectivity options. The phone also boasts Face Unlock mode.
