Xiaomi’s next-generation successor to the popular Redmi Note 4 has been in rumours for quite a while now and lately; it seems the Redmi Note 5 launch is not that far off. Apart from revealing the look of the new smartphone, complete expected specs of the device were listed. Most of these details match the earlier Note 5 leaks.

According to the live image, the front end of Redmi Note 5 features new bezel-less display design. The smartphone is expected to feature a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The fingerprint scanner has likely been placed at the rear of the device, same as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Specifications

The image also a listed the specifications of the phone on the screen itself. Going by the leaked specs, Redmi Note 5 will feature the same processor as the older Redmi Note 4. The Redmi Note 5 will have Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chipset, as per this image leak. However, earlier rumours suggested that the device will make use of the latest Xiaomi Snapdragon 630 SoC. The chipset of the device is expected to be paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The image reports 54GB of internal storage available out of 64GB.

In terms of camera, the leak shows a single 12MP rear sensor. However, there was no mention of the second camera module in this particular leak. Previous leaks suggested Redmi Note 5 will come equipped with dual-camera sensors. The image also reveals only one selfie camera.

Other than that there is a 4000mAh battery powering the device. The alleged Note 5 will run the MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 OS out-of-the-box. Xiaomi, however, hasn’t officially confirmed any of this and rumours are all that there are.

Meanwhile, Xiaomi yesterday launched two power banks in the Indian market under the Mi Power Bank 2i series. A 10000mAh Power Bank and a 20000mAh Power Bank were unveiled. Alongside, the company also announced its third manufacturing plant in India and said that the new plant would manufacture seven power banks per minute.

Xiaomi might launch the Redmi Note 5 in China and India at the same time, but there are no details on the same.
