Vodafone India and Idea Cellular has come up with new tariff plans under which the operators are offering free national roaming benefits across the country. The highlight of these plans is the affordable price tag.
This plan from Idea Cellular costs just Rs. 53, whereas Vodafone is asking Rs. 57. You can find these plans under the roaming special tariff plans section. Also, we're not sure whether these plans are valid on a pan-India basis or not. We're pretty sure that Vodafone's plan is valid in Maharashtra circle.
Coming to the benefits offered by these tariffs, you can enjoy same home benefits even on roaming, including local/STD calls and SMS. Having said that, Vodafone is already offering free incoming roaming calls.
Both the plans are valid for 28 days, which is another highlight. This move from both the operators might be to counter Reliance Jio because the newcomer is giving free voice calls for the lifetime.
In recent times, both Vodafone and Idea Cellular have introduced a lot of offers to compete with Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio. Vodafone, in some circles, is offering a Rs. 445 plan, under which the plan is providing unlimited voice calls and 1GB data per day for 84 days.
At the moment, the Indian telecom industry is led by Reliance Jio with its affordable and attractive tariff plans, followed by Bharti Airtel and BSNL. Jio's Rs. 399 plan gives unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit and 1GB data per day for 84 days, whereas Airtel recently introduced a Rs. 399 plan, which gives the same benefits of 1GB data per day and unlimited voice calls with FUP limit of 300 minutes per day and 1200 minutes per week for 84 days.
