Samsung used to be the company that got a strong hold of the smartphone market by launching a slew of budget droids. But the onslaught from a slew of Chinese and Indian companies globally meant that it started to lose ground in the entry level smartphone segments. In a bid to gain back the lost ground, it has just launched 4 new budget handsets named the Galaxy Ace 4, Young 2, Core 2 and Star 2 which are the successors of their yesteryear offerings. Let us take a look at their specifications:
Galaxy Ace 4 specifications:
- 4 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels
- 1.2 GHz/1 GHz dual core processor (4G/3G)
- 1 GB/512 MB RAM (4G/3G)
- Android 4.4 KitKat
- 4 GB internal storage capacity which can be expanded by another 64 GB with the help of a microSD card slot
- 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and a VGA front camera
- 4G LTE/3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, aGPS with GLONASS
- 1800 /1500 mAh battery (4G/3G)
The Galaxy Ace is the series which actually got the momentum going in the budget droid arena and the Galaxy Ace 4 will be trying to take that forth. It will be offered in the 3G only variant in India. It is expected to cost around Rs 8,000-10,000 in India.
