Nokia the mobile phone giant today announced the launch of N97 mini in India which is a cheaper alternative to the N97. It’s designed for style-conscious people who are active with social networks.
The Nokia N97 mini features include a 3.2-inch resistive touchscreen , 8GB of internal storage with up to 16GB microSD support, a 5 Mega pixel camera with dual LED flash, WiFi, HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0 and a slide out QWERTY keypad fully customizable home screen. The phone weighs in at 138grams; it can receive FM radio and play a range of audio and video formats.
The N97 Mini will retail in India for Rs.30, 939 and will be available in color choices of cherry black, garnet and white. The sleek Nokia N97 mini integrates the web into user’s life and seamlessly connects them to their friends and favorite online services.

ya their is a need of affordable 3g handsets…
And their r like nokia 3120 classic cost 7k…or less…new nokia 5230 lil bro. Of 5800 cost 10k approx….
Thr are many options for us yaar…ths fone is act. For those persons who spend alot of thr tym on facebuk,twitter etc or surfing net…or i may say ths handset is for business class ppl…
If you want to have a 3g handset for around 5k or 5.5k then micromax,lava and hair is having ths handsets but quality matters.

Still, there is need for cheaper mainstream 3G handsets. Not all can afford a 31k handset. Wonder why Nokia, SE etc are reluctant to put dual SIM.
