I enquired about the above connection in central delhi and they have asked me for a healthy 2 months lead time which is pathetic. Since Central Delhi one of the prime areas of Delhi as their HO functions from the same area still they are giving me 2 months waiting time.

The bureaucracy in public owned telecom companies is going to be the primarily reason for its death. The private cellular companies already have the edge in call rates over bsnl/mtnl.

The broadband sector is being invaded by private cable broadband companies who offer services by the prepaid system and rates which are half compared to those of bsnl/mtnl. 10mbps is already being offered by local cable broadband providers in mumbai.

Once wireless broadband starts through 3G/4G, all these wired companies will be forced to invest in wireless equipment or close down their shops.

I wish BSNL introduce similar plan atleast in Major Cities . The current FTTH rates of BSNL is very pathetic . I wonder how can BSNL dare to charge Rs 100 for ONT charge and also can ask 10 % more rate than ADSL BB rate . On top of that BSNL don’t allow Combo plan . If it is FTTH then let them give IPTV freee for 3 months . Its time BSNL should wake up else small companies like Beam is going to eat the pie for sure .

They are better than my Airtel Plan. I would have opted for 990 plan only if MTNL service for not very bad.
