Xiaomi announces MIUI 6 roll out timeline for India

Xiaomi has launched the Mi 4 in India today for a price of Rs 19,999. The major highlight of the device is that it will run on the new MIUI 6 out-of-the-box. Xiaomi also announced that the other Mi smartphones in India will also receive the OTA roll out soon. The company also mentioned that Mi 3, Redmi 1S, Redmi Note 4G and the Redmi Note, all these devices will be receiving the MIUI 6 update.

The Mi 3 and the Redmi Note 4G will be the first in line to receive the MIUI 6 update, which will be made available in early February. Also, Redmi 1S and the Redmi Note will get the MIUI 6 update by the end of March.

The MIUI 6 is loaded with a revamped notification scale, home screen gestures and extra features in the Camera, Mail, and Calendar apps. The UI has been integrated with more animations and themes, along with the ability to identify the unknown numbers to protect from spams and fishers.

As already mentioned above, the Mi 4 has been launched with MIUI 6 running on it out-of-the-box. The phone will be available on Flipkart from February 10. The registrations for the sale have already begun from 6PM today.
