Nokia is the worst manufacturer. Either u go for 4000, or 10,000 or 24000 nokia mobile ur experience remains same. Either its menu or its browser and its service centre. Who will go for symbian ? When we have android, ios, blackberry.. Nokia is good for nothing. Soon they will become history in indian mobile industry.

Every operators EDGE speed is not that great in india. So i want my data to be exhausted in a month. If i start using opera then my data will never be exhausted if using in mobile.

what i want to say is that operamini is mainly used for compression as all smartphones have now good inbuilt browsers including nokia s^3 has improved its browser now.many operators have data limit of 2-6 gb and inbuilt browsers are data hungry here operamini comes to rescue.

I use nokia x6 ..
with MNP i shifted to DOCOMO .. rates are good but sometimes it done not connect . i think reliance was better …
3G is too costly … and not so good experience … rates should come down to 1/min at least …

I agree that opera mini is great browser…but we need it because the default one isn’t good enough so we look towards other browsers and we go for opera mini…and now nokia is giving opera mini as default browser on some phones…
Tremerin Dsouza April 20, 2011 at 8:15 pm
i believe that Nokia browser though not as good as Android or Apple is not the reason for using operamini.operamini is used to compress the high data on a web page as a normal web page is at least 1mb and operamini can compress the same page to 100kb or less hence most mobile users prefer operamini (as few operators have unlimited plans and none in 3g and is also costly).most mobile users use operamini be it the mobile device of any manufacturer eg nokia samsung or lg.

its true…nokia’s default browser is outdated…and micromax and nokia are in competition to create worst default mobile web browser…

We can’t take any decision on the bases of these statistics.
Because this report has been generated on the bases of Opera browser means who use the opera browser.
Why Nokia is on the Top?
Because maximum guys don’t use nokia default browser because of its poor functionality. The person who use internet on Nokia phone use Opera browser.
So nokia is the biggest platform for opera browser. that’s why Nokia is the monopoly in the top ten list.
Why Micromax is there?
In micromax Q5 or in similar micromax phone Opera browser is preinstalld.
So all the micromax owner use Opera.
Why other Mobile Manufacturer not in list?
because in other mobile like samsung/blackberry/htc the default browser is very good. and maximum people use its default browser not opera.
that’s why they are not in the list.

In Odisha, Video Call tariff of BSNL 3G to any Operator Local/STD is 30 pase per minute.
Anywhere else this tariff working ??? Users from other circles please reply.

Happy to see Nokia dominating the list with almost a clean sweep.Nokia 3500c rocks.
rohan April 20, 2011 at 2:18 pm
Micromax and Nokia default browser is very poor this is why we use opera. But ever since i started using android i started using default browser i.e chrome. Opera on Android is not impressive.
Keshav Jha April 20, 2011 at 2:17 pm
In top ten list only one company other than Nokia!!!
PD April 20, 2011 at 2:16 pm
I wonder as to how long it will take to practically see each one of us SEEING and TALKING – FACE2FACE encounter over 3G at an affordable price ? So face only BSNL an MTNL has only come out with affordable tariff (Re.0.70/Re.1/-), they have their own limitations as far as their presence are concerned but for this they are ‘Dilgir aahoot’ and ‘Kshamastu ahoot’.
I hope hand set manufacturers should seriously think of marketing 3g sets at affordable cost and in such a situation quite naturally the service providers too will also rethink the pricing policy. As for now pvt operators are yet to overcome the ‘Raja’ effect. Who’s who is only a corollary.

Interesting analysis. I’m quite surprised to see no Samsung phones in this list!
Abadan Mohapatra April 20, 2011 at 1:46 pm
But one thing… Nokia 2690 on top ! I think it’s a quite recent model compared to the other Nokias in the list.
Abadan Mohapatra April 20, 2011 at 1:45 pm
Happy that I’m one among Top Handsets’ users. I use 7210 Supernova, though I very rarely browse web in it due to absence of 3G. I have had break-up with 2G since Jan 2010.
Anyway, coming to the point, nice to see Micromax growth. In fact, I find several friends/relatives switching to Micromax these days, particularly for Dual SIM models.
