After Bharti Airtel and Spectra, YOU Broadband Introduces Data Rollover Scheme to Carry Forward Unused Data Up to 1000GB

YOU Broadband, the Vodafone India entity silently introduced data rollover scheme today, allowing customers to carry forward unused data of this month to next month. This feature comes in extremely handy when a user has a high data plan and won’t be able to complete quota for this month. The company started sending SMS to its customers about the implementation of data rollover scheme on its network. Also, YOU Broadband updated its website with all the terms and conditions of the data rollover offer.

There’s a catch with YOU Broadband’s data rollover scheme though as the offer is valid for the renewal of same FUP plan or upgrading to a higher FUP plan validity. And this offer is not applicable to commercial enterprises like SME/SOHO. Do make a note that you can avail the data rollover offer only on plans with monthly FUP.

A YOU Broadband user can carry forward up to 1000GB of data, and there’s no timeframe for using the already carry forwarded data. Another thing to make a note here is any plan segment changes will result in rolled over data to lapse. For example, if a user changes the plan from FUP to unlimited or FUP to data plans, then all data carried forward shall lapse, which is understandable.

This new scheme from YOU Broadband comes right after Spectra’s data rollover scheme implementation. Just a couple of days ago, Spectra Broadband rolled out 1 Gbps broadband plans to all its customers in Bengaluru, and at the same time, it introduced the data rollover scheme.

Leading telecom operator, Bharti Airtel is the first Internet Service Provider to implement the data rollover scheme for broadband users, which is now being followed by other major service providers. And Reliance JioFiber is also expected to offer data rollover scheme when it goes official. It would be great if other ISPs such as ACT Fibernet joins the same bandwagon and offer data rollover scheme. Furthermore, in a rumoured development, Vodafone is expected to bundle wired broadband and mobile services soon.

Thanks Sri rajasimha reddy for the tip.
